Hanoi, is the capital of Vietnam and the country's second largest city. Its population in 2009 was estimated at 2.6 million for urban districts and 7 million for the metropolitan jurisdiction. The population in 2015 was estimated at 7.7 million people. From 1010 until 1802, it was the most important political centre of Vietnam. It was eclipsed by Huế, the imperial capital of Vietnam during the Nguyễn Dynasty (1802–1945), but Hanoi served as the capital of French Indochina from 1902 to 1954. From 1954 to 1976, it was the capital of North Vietnam, and it became the capital of a reunified Vietnam in 1976, after the North's victory in the Vietnam War.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL HANOI – HALONG (DINNER INCLUDED)
Upon arrival at Noi Bai International airport, you will be met by our representative and proceed to Ha Long City. Ha Long Bay was awarded by UNESCO as a natural heritage in 1994 .This four hour drive will show you the diversity of the North Vietnam villages and rice fields, peaceful villages along the way. Arrive Ha Long in the late afternoon, transfer to hotel for check-in. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Ha Long City.
DAY 2: HALONG – HANOI (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER INCLUDED)
After breakfast, we do a half day boat trip to discover wonderful Ha Long Bay. Admire hundreds of wonderful limestone formations arising from emerald green water, visit the dramatic caves, grottos such as: Paradise Grotto. Lunch will be served on boat with the fresh seafood. Return to Hanoi, visit the pottery village at Dong Trieu town, upon arrival in Hanoi, visit Hoan Kiem Lake, 36 ancient streets (Hanoi Old quarter), Dong Xuan market and shopping. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi
DAY 3: DEPARTURE HANOI (BREAKFAST INCLUDED)
Breakfast at hotel then free until your transfer to the airport for your departure flight. Trip ends.
