Day 1
ARRIVAL NEGOMBO
Welcome on arrival by our representative. Transfer to Negombo. Check in at the hotel. Relax during the rest of the day. Dinner and stay overnight at hotel in Negombo.
Day 2
NEGOMBO - PINNAWALA - DAMBULLA
Breakfast at the hotel. Leave for Dambulla. En route proceed to visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala. Visit a spice garden to see different spices and how some of these spices are grown. Lunch at restaurant. Visit Dambulla Rock Temple built by King Walagambahu. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Cultural Triangle Area.
Day 3
SIGIRIYA - MATALE - KANDY
Breakfast at the hotel. Climb the 5th century Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is a world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). Proceed to Kandy. Lunch at restaurant. This was the last kingdom of Sri Lanka and the hill capital. Kandy is also the venue for Annual Perahera, a pageant with over 150 elephants, dance troops, etc., annually parading the city for 10 consecutive days. Visit the Temple of The Tooth Relic, Upper Lake, Kandy Market Area, University Area & the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. In the evening witness a cultural dance show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dances including fire dancing. Dinner and stay at hotel.
Day 4
KANDY - PERADENIYA - NUWARA ELIYA
Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to Nuwara Eliya, known as the “Little England” of Sri Lanka.
En route see the mountains covered with tea bushes and cascading waterfalls. Lunch at restaurant. Visit a Tea Factory and a plantation to see the tea manufacturing process. Enjoy a freshly brewed cup of “Ceylon Tea”. • Dinner and stay at hotel.
Day 5NUWARA ELIYA - COLOMBO - APT
Breakfast at the hotel. Leave for Colombo. Travel through a beautiful landscape & see the widest waterfall of Sri Lanka, “St. Clair’s”. Enjoy the rich nature. Lunch at restaurant. Make a sightseeing tour of Colombo. Visit a Buddhist Temple, a Hindu Temple, Pettah, Cinnamon Gardens, The former British Administrative Center and Military Garrison, Sea Street, Goldsmiths Quarters in the heart of Pettah, remaining Colonial area, Fort, Galle Face Green, Independence Square, BMICH, replica of the tallest standing Buddha statue at Aukana, etc. Discover the city & explore the shopping malls, such as House of Fashion, Odel, etc. After dinner at a restaurant, transfer to the airport for onward flight.
